Sättet vi designar och utvecklar produkter står inför en stor omvandling på grund av artificiell intelligens (AI). Ny forskning vid Blekinge Tekniska Högskola undersöker hur AI kan ge beslutsfattare möjlighet att göra välgrundade val vid utvecklingen av produkt- och tjänstesystem.
Extended Reality (XR), kommer att förändra våra industrier och påverka framtidens ingenjörer, operatörer och kunders arbete. Nu får BTH medel av Vinnova för att under tre år arbeta med hur XR ska kunna användas för att stödja industrin i att utveckla, testa, installera och underhålla system med denna teknik.
BTH ingår i ett nytt forskningsprojekt som ska ta fram moderna, miljövänliga passagerarfärjor på el. Målet är att skapa ett komplement till dagens kollektivtrafik till havs – som kan vara oberoende av upphämtningsplatser och köra av sig självt. – Det är alltid roligt att nyttja de kompetenser vi har här, säger Tobias Larsson, professor i maskinteknik på BTH.

Om kollektivtrafik kunde flyttas från våra vägar till havet skulle utsläppen minska och luftkvaliteten i städerna bli bättre. Nu ska BTH, tillsammans med företagen Cstrider, Affärsverken Karlskrona och Actrify, utreda system för elektriska passagerarfärjor.
